LT 003: The Turing Test

In this Loose Thread episode we review the Eighth Doctor Adventure novel, “The Turing Test.” With three separate narrators, how do we think the story keeps itself on track? We discuss how the changing perspectives impact how the reader might perceive the different characters and how successful we think the portrayal of Turing is.

Ep 027: Queens, Courts and Classic Contemplations

On this episode of The Web of Queer, we start The Trial of a Timelord with The Mysterious Planet and Jessica and Mikayla give their overall impressions on what they’ve seen of Classic Who so far.

In The Mysterious Planet, we talk about marriages, model shots, and population control. How well did the Valeyard present his arguments to the court, how well do The Doctor and Peri get along, and just how awesome were the women in power in this story?

For our discussion, Josh asks Mikayla and Jessica for their overall impressions of the Classic Who they’ve seen so far. What do they think of the classic Doctors, how have the companions held up to fan wisdom, and is there a divide between the Classic series and the current one?

Time Stamps:
00:00 Intro
00:51 The Mysterious Planet review
40:40 Classic Who thoughts so far
